Franklin County Visitors Bureau is seeking a part-time, non-exempt employee for 8-10 hours weekly.

CTA Manager is the FCVB point of contact for the Franklin County CTA program, who provides an annual CTA plan of work to identify the year’s emphasis in outreach for new CTAs, training and training certifications, community engagement, communication and networking among existing CTAs, and implementation of CTAs. 

Core Responsibilities

  1. Provides outreach and community awareness of Franklin County CTA program; works with Visitor and Guest Services Tourism Associate to bring CTA presence at community festivals and events of Franklin County.
  2. Engages with Franklin Conty school district to ensure awareness and understanding of the Franklin County CTA program. CTA could be an option to support development of soft skills for a first or early employment and build student pride in where they live while improving the level of community knowledge in youth.
  3. Works with Accounting and Office Administrator to complete national requirements of CTA, i.e. maintaining intranet, dues invoicing and paying, etc.  
  4. Maintains Franklin County CTA page on ExploreFranklinCountyPA.com
  5. Implements use of CTAs in county-wide event, i.e. to conduct walking tours at street festivals and events, have outreach presence for FCVB at county events, and support activities with CTA volunteers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in teaching, organizational planning, community work, human resources, communications, or public-facing work with an ability to shift through and perform variety of roles. See opportunity.
  • Familiarity with supporting or implementing a program of work
  • Background in community engagement, tourism, or public-facing organizational work with the ability to shift between multiple roles.
