Presented by Bonnie Portzline, Birding Photographer, Speaker, Writer. This informative and entertaining program documents birds within and around historic Gettysburg National Military Park. A member of South Mountain Audubon Society, Portzline wrote a monthly column, Bird’s-Eye View, for the Gettysburg Times for five years, and is now writing a book on the subject. Featuring her own photography, her slideshow program highlights some of the 175+ species spotted in the Gettysburg area...and explores how these can relate to your own backyard. Portzline encourages birding as an activity that is good for nature as well as for the mind, body, and spirit. Admission is free.
