WaynesboroFest 2021 Event Schedule
Concert: A family-friendly concert featuring local entertainment Center of Gravity, Drew Adams and Lucky Punk will be held in Memorial Park on Sunday, October 3 from 1:00-5:00 p.m. Admission is free. Bring lawn chairs and blankets, and overflow parking is on Sixth Street at D. L. George & Sons. Food trucks and a beer garden available. Memorial Park is a smoke free environment. Colors of Waynesboro Oration: Come join us at the Waynesboro Industrial Museum, 235 Philadelphia Avenue on Tuesday, October 5, 7:00 p.m. for a Paints of Waynesboro oration. This event is free to everyone. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. POC is Brian Shook, 717-762-1654.
Waynesboro Documentary: A special, big-screen showing of “Waynesboro 200 Years of History” is on Wednesday, October 6 starting at 7:00 p.m. in the Waynesboro Theatre, 75 W. Main Street. This documentary was written, directed and edited by Waynesboro native Greg Kohler. The film was originally prepared for the Waynesboro Bicentennial in 1997. Extras include a “flight over Waynesboro” and featurette on Renfrew Museum and Park. Admission is free. Middletown Valley Bank is underwriting the use of the theater for the evening. Waynesboro Jeopardy: A fun evening of Waynesboro Jeopardy will be held in the Keystone Family Restaurant Banquet Room on Thursday, October 7, 6:00 p.m. Tickets are available at the door for $15.00 and include one all you can eat buffet meal. Golf Tournament: A Best Ball golf tournament is at Carroll Valley Golf Course on Friday, October 8, 2021. Tee Times are from 10:00-11:50 a.m. and cost is $200.00 per team / $50.00 per person. Registration fee includes 18 holes of golf, cart, contest prizes, snacks and drink. Team sign-ups are now through October 6. POC is Harry Geesaman, 717-860-3838.
Youth Fishing Rodeo: A youth Fishing Rodeo for ages 5-13 years old is scheduled for 9:00-11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 9 at Red Run Lake. Admission is free, registration is from 8:30-9:00 a.m. Age groups are 5-7, 8-10, 11-13. Contestants must supply their own equipment and bait and adults may assist but cannot fish. Awards presentation will follow the Rodeo. Sponsors for this event are McLaughlin’s Energy Services and the Rouzerville Fish & Game Club. POC is Harry Geesaman, 717-860-3838.
Car Show: A Car and Truck Showcase event will be held on Saturday, October 9 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sixth Street in front of the Landis Complex owned by D. L George & Sons. All makes and models are welcome. Registration is $10.00 at the event. No alcohol permitted. Trophies will be awarded for best of show and top 20 vote-getters.
