Enjoy the music of Johnny Calamari (vocals and bass) & Brad Munn (vocals and guitar). John Lanehart aka “Johnny Calamari” is a Waynesboro native who has gained notoriety for playing bass in various regional and national bluegrass, roots, and rock bands. He became involved in music at a very young age, playing the tuba in the school band, and participated in various choir ensembles, acting in plays and playing in pit orchestras. In his later teen years, the electric bass paved the way for him to perform with local bands and making music with his friends. While attending Lee University in Cleveland Tennessee he was very influenced by southern music. His love for bluegrass and jazz music grew over time and Johnny found himself moving to an upright bass named Carl, which he named after his Grandfather who also played upright bassist. His music career has blessed him with opportunity’s to tour the country performing and record with bluegrass, folk, americana legends and many up and coming talented artist. He has shared the stage and held down bass roles for Peter Rowan, Dangermuffin, The Wooks, Dom Flemmons, Dave Eggar, Harold Tipton and many more in the last decade. Most recently John held a residency playing with the band Dreamcatcher on the “Moonshine Circuit” at tourist attractions throughout the Smokey mountains of Tennessee and greater Appalachia. Brad Munn has been playing guitar and other musical instruments for nearly 30 years. His repertoire includes many genres, such as classic country, bluegrass, folk, blues and occasionally, rock. Munn is currently a member of West Branch 3 and The Note Riders, and was previously a member of the Boro Boogie Pickers and Big Whiskey, and performs solo and with The Lowdown Grasskickers.
