Patrons are invited to express their creativity through a calm and mindful haiku writing class to promote relaxation, self-awareness and an appreciation of Japanese culture. In this program, participants will learn about the history of Japanese haiku poetry, it’s cultural significance, Zen philosophy and tips on writing beautiful poetry of their own. Laptops and paper are available.
Sharing created poetry with the group is not required, but encouraged.
