September is First Responders Appreciation Month. As part of the month-long recognition, Alexander Hamilton Memorial Free Library is sponsoring our Second Annual First Responders Appreciation Give-Away. First Responder organizations include police, fire, ambulance, and other emergency response/rescue services. They are the first people called to the scene; whether it’s a car accident, a fire, a health emergency, or a disaster scene. When you are in trouble, they are the heroes that come to the rescue. They may be paid employees or volunteers. Qualifying First Responders should be active or employed within the Franklin County area. You can nominate your First Responder by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Make sure your email includes your name and phone number along with the name and duty station of your nominee. One entry per person. The library will accept nominations from September 1st through September 23rd. Our winners will be announced Friday, September 30th. The winning First Responder will receive a $50 Amazon gift card. Additionally, the person who nominated the winning First Responder will receive a $10 Amazon gift card. Our second First Responder winner will receive a $30 Amazon gift card. Additionally, the person who nominated the winning First Responder will receive a $10 Amazon gift card.
